March 27, 2010: Thanks to the HCCA for their generous gift!
At The Babes & Babe Magnets concert on March 27th, we received a generous gift of $2000 from the Humboldt Community Concert Association! The HCCA brought quality music programming to the area for decades, and is now passing along the baton. Leon Berliner and Jill Stover from the HCCA were present to make the gift in person.
HLOC artistic director Carol Ryder thanked the Association: "Growing up in Humboldt County was a desolate place for culture in the 50s and 60s! But HCCA brought us many groups...many that my Nana took us to! I want to thank the HCCA for helping so many of us who were raised in Humboldt County grow up with a love for culture and music...so that we could go and make them a vital part of our lives."
