Upcoming Events - Fall 2011
KidCo Production: Alice in Wonderland
The cast is rehearsing now for Disney's Alice in Wonderland, directed by Cindy Cress! Show dates are November 4-6 and 11-12 at the College of the Redwoods Forum Theatre.
Tickets are now available online here via PayPal. You can also pick them up at the Fortuna Music Mart (Fortuna and Eureka locations) and at Holly Yashi in Arcata. Admission is $10 general, $6 for children 12 and under.
The multiple sizes of Alice are played by Ciara Cheli-Colando (Medium Alice), Camille Asbill (Tall Alice) and Kyra Dart (Small Alice). Comedic narration is offered by Rachel Post and Isabella Loch as a pair of Cheshire Cats. Senior Lily Buschmann plays the imposing and slightly askew Queen of Hearts, while Kayla Kossow bubbles forth as the Caterpillar. Gabby Fell and Leah Selcer performed in the chorus of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels this summer, and return to Alice as the Mad Hatter and Dodo Bird respectively. New & upcoming young performers include James Zwiker as the White Rabbit, Kalex Sweetfire-Spoon as the King of Hearts, and Allie Sanchez as the March Hare. A charming pair of tweedles is formed by Estelle Fuller and Anna Vodopals... but do watch out for the proboscis of Erin Casper (the doorknob)! Kaylie Doebel keeps whimsy in line as Mathilda, Alice's older sister, along with a chatty chorus of vain flowers, rock lobsters, and a pack of cards.
Babes in Concert
Join the HLOC Babes women's chorus at Arts Alive on December 3rd at the Morris Graves Museum, and in concert at the Arcata United Methodist Church on December 10th. We'll be performing songs of the season - with mirth, merriment, and occasional solemnity followed by more gaiety. More details to follow soon!
