The say Brigadoon
comes around only once every hundred years. We're happy to say
that 2004 is the year! Humboldt Light Opera Co. is delighted to
produce this lovely musical fantasy about a gentle Scottish village
untouched by the passage of time or by the strife of the world outside
its borders. With songs like "Almost like Being in
Love", "Heather on the Hill", and "Come to Me, Bend
to Me" it is a beautifully written score and book by Lerner and
Loewe. Complete with highland flings, bonnie lasses and swinging
kilts, Brigadoon is a show for the
whole family.

| Brigadoon was the first big hit for
the magical team of Lerner and Loewe. Inspired by Germelshausen,
a German story by Friedrich Gerstäcker, Brigadoon revolves
around two American tourists, Tommy Albright and Jeff Douglas, who
stumble upon a misty little Scottish town. Tommy soon falls in love with
a local lass, Fiona MacLaren, but as the two men quickly discover, this
mysterious little town only reawakens for one day every hundred years |
