HLO KidCo was established in 1998 to teach a new generation about American Musical Theatre.  The goal of KidCo is to provide quality education in the skills of musical theatre...singing, dancing, and acting are taught in combination with theatre games and stage etiquette.

Children who participate in a performing arts program team learn about

themselves and the world around them. Training in the performing arts has long been recognized as a strong self-esteem builder.  Youth with high self esteem are in a better position to develop academic excellence and prepare for a vital adult life.

HLO KidCo is a training based program with end of the semester programs

highlighting the skills they have learned.  Every other year, the program

does a full supported Broadway Junior version of a appropriate show such as

"Suessical, Jr." and "Honk, Jr."

KidCo instructors are all trained as vocalists with strong backgrounds in

dance and acting.  Through creative curriculum and positive energy,  these

experienced staff members guide the KidCo students towards learning not

only the next musical or dance step, but teamwork, discipline and

communication skills.
